This week is the letter Q with the themes of a plant and nighttime.
For nighttime I have chosen quarter moon, specifically a last quarter. I am taking a slight liberty here as this moon as gone a bit past the last quarter and is more its last crescent, but close enough eh! I took this photo around Easter last year sitting outside the shed. The night was crystal clear and the moon was so bright, what a view eh. :-)
For a plant I have chosen quinoa, which I only recently discovered it pronounced keen-wa! I have quinoa seeds in my pantry which I add to porridge, and for an experiment I tossed some of the seeds into a garden bed. Well! They germinated like crazy and I thought I might have a fabulous crop of quinoa, however the rabbits took a fancy to the young plants and gobbled them up! I have two little plants left in a neglected part of the vegie area. This is a photo of one of them, can you see all the clusters of seeds on it. It is almost dried out now and soon I will pull the plant up and let the seeds dry. There is probably enough seed on this little plant for one serve of porridge but I do get a big kick out of anything I grow myself so yay! Next time I plant them they are going inside a good fence!

very creative Dy. That moon shot is just stunning.
